Client is a leading UK based fashion label, producing fresh apparel. Client is committed to delivering a street inspired limited edition product that has been missing in the UK market for some time.
BUSINESS SITUATION
The customer wanted to come up with effective e-commerce application and Integration of CMS for easy content update with excellent UI including following features:-
  • Document storage and sharing
  • Generic design so that the site could be replicated for multiple websites.
  • Robust ecommerce solution. So that products can be presented efficiently.
  • Custom payment gateway integration, which must be secure and effective.
  • Role based environment hence different discount prices should be set for each role such as retail and wholesale.
SOLUTION
Our team spent 1 week in analyzing the client’s requirements. We proposed and used Joomla (the best CMS, open source developed in PHP). Joomla has excellent templating engine which also helped us to achieve a generic design of the site, which was replicated on multiple websites.
For ecommerce solution we proposed and used VirtueMart (the best ecommerce solution for joomla). VirtueMart has PayPal integrated by default and as per client’s requirement; we also implemented custom payment gateway integration with “Webpay”. VirtueMart was customized to the highest degree to take care of various roles in the system. Implemented logic such that the wholesale users can only buy minimum of 40 items and then offered discount on case to case basis.
